Heart of the Highlands

Original painting by Victoria Barnhill, painted in January of 2025. Acrylic on canvas painted in many layers using a palette knife and multiple paint brushes. The painting is inspired to represent the beauty of the American mountains and lakes. The highlands of America are some of the most beautiful places in our country. At the center of them are always the most beautiful lakes with rivers feeding them from all sides. When I think of the heart of America, this is what comes to mind.
